STORIS Vision R8.7 is now PCI certified as compliant under the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS)

STORIS received its PCI PA-DSS certification on January 6, 2010. As a result of this certification STORIS' R8.7 software now resides on the List of Validated Payment Applications by the PCI Security Standards Council, LLC.

Additional Information on PA-DSS Certification:

PA-DSS is a security standard that applies to software vendors that develop credit card applications for merchants. Software compliance does not automatically make STORIS' merchants PCI compliant, but it is an important and necessary step toward minimizing the potential for security breaches leading to compromises of sensitive cardholder data. The goal of PA-DSS is to help software vendors and others develop secure payment applications that do not store prohibited data, such as full magnetic stripe, CVV2 or PIN data, and ensure that payment applications support compliance with PCI-DSS. Payment applications that are sold, distributed or licensed to third parties are subject to the PA-DSS requirements. In-house payment applications developed by merchants or service providers that are not sold to a third party are not subject to the PA-DSS requirements, but must still be secured in accordance with the PCI-DSS.
