Enhanced Vision9 at the 2012 Las Vegas World Market
Mt. Arlington, NJ – January 2012
STORIS, the leading supplier of Retail Software Solutions and Services to home furnishings retailers, will participate in the upcoming Las Vegas World Market from January 30th to February 3rd. At the event STORIS will showcase some of the newest enhancements to their Vision9 business application that increase user experience levels and streamline business protocols.
With Vision9’s enhanced business security configurations, each employee can realistically have completely different system permissions, making for a highly customizable management platform. Settings can be enabled separately for each user depending on their specific role within the retailer’s organization.
“As the business rules continually evolve, STORIS is committed to providing our clients with the ability to configure their employees’ daily job functions to be commensurate with the respective business flows managed by the Vision9 product suite,” states David Berger, Director of Product Management at STORIS.
Since its official release in August 2011, several Vision9 enhancements have been provided to existing STORIS clients, particularly in the areas of Revolving Receivables, Point of Sale, and Merchandising and Distribution.
With increased Revolving Receivables settings, clients can identify which users have access to make changes to payment plans, secure sensitive customer information, increase MMP amounts, and maintain insurance payment agreements. New features to process repossessions identify merchandise designated as applicable for repossession resulting from overdue customer accounts. Processing for repossession includes LET documents generated by Vision9.
Point of Sale business settings provide a multitude of accessibility options for users. With regards to creating and editing existing customer orders, more security has been added for line item and order discounting and special ordered items linked to purchase orders, supported with manager override capability. Additional POS improvements include new Enhanced Laser Printing options, faster Credit Card Signature Capture processing to expedite the checkout experience for customers, and enhanced functionality to manage pricing and commissions for salespersons and designers.
Merchandising and Distribution advancements allow determination of when and how dropped or discontinued merchandise is applicable to open order quantities. Radio Frequency Barcode scanning includes improved priority processing of customer pickup/exchange transactions to streamline the service process for customer exchanges.
